Didi Benami strikes back

American Idol contestant Didi Benami was let go in the most recent round of eliminations from the show. Now Benami is fighting back. For one thing she has a few criticisms of her own for the judges. Firstly she feels that they were a little inconsistent in their advice. Perhaps the mixed messages were a teaching moment intended to get her to be herself instead of looking for approval. Getting approval by sneaking it not seeking it is the smart way of seeking approval! Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, Benami wishes that the judges would've been a little more graceful in their criticisms. Benami says that telling someone they sound like a baby seal being clubbed to death with an infant is just plain hurtful (Especially for the seal and the infant!).

She may have a point, but is she's been a regular Idol viewer then she must've known what Simon's routine was, and consequently what she was in for. Isn't it a pity, isn't it a shame; no one ever warned the girl that rock'n'roll is a vicious game. What are the chances of some future contestant ever singing that number on the show?

Speaking of getting ungraciously dumped Jennifer Aniston may once again be a free woman. Her rumored boyfriend Gerrard Butler was spotted getting hot and heavy with a French TV reporter. I guess he's hunting for some younger bounty. Poor Jen, here record is better than Col. Klink's.

One person who doesn't have to worry about getting dumped is American Idle Dean McDermott. He left his wife Mary Jo Eustace back when Tori Spelling was still a billionaire's daughter. Since then Tori has been written out of the family fortune. Seems that her father Arron and her mother Candy were none too impressed with Mr McDermott's apparent fortune hunting. The pair tried convincing Mom and Pop of the sincerity of Dean's intentions by popping out kids - but Arron didn't get to die rich by falling for clumsy scams like that. So they went on to fight with each other in their reality TV series. That, combined with Tori's plummetting weight lead to some gossip that Dean was getting ready to make a break for it. Tori went on Good Morning America to assure viewers that their marriage is as escape proof as Stalag 13. Here's the footage:

Poor Dean. I guess that wedding cake should've come with a file baked inside.
