In case you've been wondering whatever happened to Nicolette Sheridan and why her Desperate Housewives character was killed off then you might be interested in this. It seems that Sheridan and DH creator Mark Cherry had some creative differences. Sheridan wasn't always happy with the DH scripts. She wasn't shy about expressing her opinions either. Now according to Sheridan that provoked Cherry to smack her across the mouth in a fit of pique.

Nicolette considered that disrespectful, and quite frankly ignorant. So she went above Cherry's head and complained to the network. Cherry had a response for that too. He had her character killed off. No, sometime later, Nicky is suing Cherry & co. for the princely sum of $20 million. Some are saying that's a lot to ask after having let the issue lie for so long. However Nicky hasn't really worked in awhile and the former Wisteria cougar ain't getting any younger. Having a influential TV producer as an enemy isn't gonna help her job prospects any either - unless she's planning on breaking into film (just kidding). Maybe Sheridan figured out that there was no percentage in not rocking the boat.
