The 29-year-old singer and Burlesque star filed for divorce from husband Jordan Bratman earlier in the day. In divorce papers, Christina cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. Christina requested that the two share joint physical and legal custody of Max.

| Christina Aguilera Files for Divorce Posted: 14 Oct 2010 09:50 AM PDT  Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce from Jordan Bratman. The 29-year-old singer confirmed the split on Tuesday (October 12), saying that she and Jordan had separated but that their commitment to their son, Max, would remain strong. Christina listed the date of separation as September 11, 2010, according to TMZ. There is a prenup - the petition asks that Christina’s earnings before, during and after marriage be considered separate property. Christina is seeking joint custody of Max and is asking that Jordan not be granted child support. |

Here’s what the 56-year-old Today show co-host had to share with the magazine: On if she’ll leave the Today show when her contract is up in 2011: “I'll know when it's time to go, and I'm not afraid to go. If I were to leave the show at the end of next year because it's time for me, I wouldn't jump into another show.” On if her colleagues think botox might be a good idea for her: “They've probably thought it, but nobody has said it. When I came back from vacation, some people said, "Did you have work done? They looked so relieved. I told them, "No, I slept.” On her husband’s [Richard Cohen] struggle with multiple sclerosis: “I feel cheated sometimes. We used to run together and go on ski trips or go to the beach. Now it's very hard for Richard to stand. But we're very lucky in what we do have.” How she recently lost 10 pounds: She met with a nutritionist, who put her on a 28 day detox diet of no sugar, wheat, gluten, alcohol or caffeine. The 35-year-old actress makes her directorial debut as she filmed some intense war scenes, complete with amputated soldiers, on today’s set. The new wartime love story tells the story of a Bosnian woman who falls in love with a Serbian man in the middle of the 1992-1995 Bosnian war. It looks like Angie won’t be able to shoot in the country where the film takes place anytime soon. Recently, Bosnia revoked the film’s request to shoot in Sarajevo on the grounds that no screenplay had been attached to the application.
