Rihanna: 'Only Girl' Has Bigger Than 'Rude Boy'

Rihanna has been busy in Hawaii shooting her new movie, Battleship. But yesterday, she took the time to chat with her fans! Here’s what the 22-year-old Barbadian beauty opened up about:

On her new electrifying and explosive single: "’Only Girl’ is a bigger sound than 'Rude Boy'.”

On her evolving sound: “I'm done recording the whole album.. I made sure not to let you down with my music! You guys are always defending me, so now you've got some great songs to justify it. I didn't want to go backward and remake [my 2007 album] Good Girl Gone Bad. I wanted the next step in the evolution of Rihanna, and it's perfect for us.”

On her new perfume: "It’s called Reb'L Fleur.” (The scent is named after her most recent neck tattoo, rebelle fleur, which means rebel flower in French).

Rihanna will premiere her new Stargate-produced single "Only Girl (In The World)" TOMORROW (Sept. 7) at 3AM PST/6AM EST.

The annual Helpmann Awards recognize distinguished artistic achievement and excellence in the many disciplines of Australia’s vibrant live performance sectors, including musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, opera, classical music, theatre, dance and physical theatre.

STG was nominated for two awards — Paul Charlie (A Streetcar Named Desire) for Best Sound Design and Kathryn Hunter (Kafka’s Monkey) for Best Female Actor in a Play.

Stamos, 47, will also play the beau of OCD guidance counselor Emma (Jayma Mays). Carl will also be administering anesthesia to Rachel, Artie, Brittany and Santana, inspiring a dreamy sequence that will take them into the world of Brit Brit.

“Just when Will thinks he’ll win Emma because he can sing and dance, we find out Carl used to be in an ’80s boy band,” reveals John to TV Guide. “I discover Will’s chewing his teeth, so the other day I had, like, four fingers in Matthew Morrison’s mouth.”

Ziyi Zhang To Play Mulan

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon actress Ziyi Zhang will portray the legendary young heroine soldier Hua Mulan in an independently-produced film.

The story was first popularized in the 1998 Disney animated film, Mulan. This time, the pic will be helmed by director Jan de Bont (Speed, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider). Seems like creating superstars out of kick-ass female characters is Jan’s thing!

Mulan is set to start shooting this fall outside Shanghai. Let’s hope this one’s a good one!

The Wizarding World of John Travolta & Kelly Preston

John Travolta and his pregnant wife Kelly Preston visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort on Sunday (September 5) in Florida.

After sipping Butterbeer at the Hog's Head pub, John, 56, and Kelly, 47, stepped into Ollivanders wand shop – where the wand chooses the wizard.

Last month, it was confirmed that the much-deserving couple are expecting a son. No word on a due date yet!

John and Kelly had a 16-year-old son Jett, who died of a seizure in January 2009. They also have a daughter Ella, 10.

Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man Focus: Flexibility!

Andrew Garfield was just at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado to promote his new movie, Never Let Me Go. Here’s what the 27-year-old British actor had to share with THR:

Have you been prepping for Spider-Man? I have been waiting for this phone call for 24 years, for someone to call me up and say, “Hey, we want you to pretend to be a character that you've always wanted to be all your life, and we're going to do it with cool cameras and cool effects and you're going to feel like you're swinging through New York City. Do you want to do that?” (laughs) "Let me just consult with my seven-year old self and see what he thinks…" So my seven-year-old self started screaming in my soul and saying, This is what we've been waiting for. Like every young boy who feels stronger on the inside than they look on the outside, any skinny boy basically who wishes their muscles matched their sense of injustice, God, it's just the stuff that dreams are made of, for sure. It's a true f—ing honor to be part of this symbol that I actually think is a very important symbol and it's meant a great deal to me, and it continues to mean something to people. So yeah, I feel like I've been preparing for it for a while. Ever since Halloween when I was four years old and I wore my first Spider-Man costume.

What’s your approach to wrapping your brain around the coming shift in terms of your increased visibility with Spider-Man? Not to give it credence, not to give it any of my energy. Just approach it like any other job that I care about deeply. That may be naïve of me to think that I can just get away with that. But if you give focus to something, it will grow. I just want to be an actor, really. And of course all those things came into consideration when I was making the decision. But at the end of the day, I had faith that I would be able to not be defined by it. And I still have faith that I will be able to get lost in roles and just keep doing what I love to do.

Have you gotten any advice about how to balance it? I've witnessed other friends go through it, so I'm aware of the pitfalls, for sure. So I already feel as prepared as I can be, and also no advice can really prepare you for something so visceral.

Is there any other prep work you'll need to do? Will you need to change your physicality or do training? I'm sure there will be a bunch of that, yeah. Flexibility is my main focus right now. Making sure that I can be as flexible as possible. It's all kind of starting up so I haven't really got much to say about it.

When asked about the adrenaline-packed stunts for Unstoppable, Chris, who just turned thirty last week, told MTV that his new flick has inevitable similarities with the 1994 blockbuster starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock : “It’s very much like Speed in the sense that … you have two vehicles that are moving, and they’re both capable of inflicting large-scale damage, and it’s up to two people to stop it who are initially at odds. Obviously, Denzel and I don’t fall in love in this one, but there’s a lot of love there for sure.”
