The Washington Post notes that Gloria, who was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, is the oldest actress to ever be nominated for an Academy Award - Gloria got an Oscar nod for her portrayal of “Old Rose” in 1997’s Titanic. “When I graduated from Santa Monica High in 1927, I was voted the girl most likely to succeed,” Gloria wrote in her memoir, I Just Kept Hoping. “I didn’t realize it would take so long.” Our thoughts go out to Gloria’s family. |

Over the weekend, the 25-year-old singer joined guest host Amy Poehler and former cast member Maya Rudolph in a “Bronx Beat” sketch. Katy played a teenager who caused a “hullabaloo” with her new figure after maturing over the summer. “Honey, you’ve exploded! Kaboom!,” Amy and Maya’s characters commented. “Looks like this show is brought to you by the number 38 and the letter double D.” Katy, who recently shot a video for Sesame Street, will not be included in a special New Year’s episode of the show after parents complained that her outfit was too risque for preschoolers.
