Jessica Simpson treads carefully in her heeled boots while walking around New York City on Thursday (January 6).

The day before, the 31-year-old singer was spotted leaving her hotel after flying in the night from Los Angeles.

Jessica’s brother-in-law, Pete Wentz, recently shared her fiance, Eric Johnson, is fitting into the family “pretty easily.”

“The great thing about being part of the Simpson family is that they’re really welcoming – you feel right at home right away,” Pete told People.

“I only know [Eric] from being around Jessica and I know he makes [her] really happy so that’s the best thing in the world,” he added.

The 35-year-old reality TV mom filmed an episode of Kate Plus 8 and watched Terri Irwin and her children, Bindi and Robert, perform a show in the zoo’s “Crocoseum.”

The day before, Kate showed off her bikini bod in a white two-piece, while lounging poolside at her hotel with the kids.

The 26-year-old pop phenom will guest star on an episode of How I Met Your Mother, which will air later this season. USA Today reports K.P. will play Zoey’s cousin, a beautiful and naive girl whom the gang decides to call “Honey.”

Katy’s hit song “Firework” is also back to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — its fourth cumulative time at the top!

“I cried watching Katy Perry’s music video for ‘Firework’,” One Tree Hill beauty Sophia Bush told JustJared.com. “It’s so inspiring to have a song telling kids to be themselves!”

Also spotted backstage at the PCAs was Private Practice star Kate Walsh heading to the Ultimat Vodka-sponsored official after-party held at The Conga Room across the street. Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian held up their Guiltiest Pleasure award and said, “We can’t split this statue into three, so we’re going to put it in our mom’s house!” Taylor Swift was seen giving Ashton Kutcher a big hug and introducing him to Selena Gomez. American Idol's New Judges Cover Entertainment Weekly

American Idol judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and host Ryan Seacrest take the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s latest issue.

Here’s what the group shared with the mag:

On their predictions for Idol’s 10th season:
Ryan: I think you'll see some of the youngest talent we've ever had compete with some of the oldest talent we've ever had.
Jennifer: You may have the youngest winner ever.
Randy: I'm going to go out on a limb. I think a girl's going to win the show.

On Simon Cowell no longer being with the show:
Randy: Look, it's definitely been interesting. He's our friend for life. I don't know if Steven knows him much, but Jennifer definitely knows him. We've all hung out together. So, listen, we definitely miss him, but it's a different kind of vibe. It's a different kind of energy now. And I think in season 10 the show actually really needed it.

On the show only producing three superstars - Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Chris Daughtry:
Jennifer: I don't know that that is such a fair statement. You named three [superstars] in nine years— that's pretty amazing, that's 33 percent. We all know that in this business, a 1 percent chance is huge, so I think this show is doing pretty well in that arena. So with addressing that comment, what are we looking for? We're looking for a recording artist, a pop star, someone who's a real artist. You can tell that when they walk in, the ones that have that special thing.

The winners are in from the 2011 People’s Choice Awards, which were held on Wednesday (January 5) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

The big winner for the night was The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which took home four awards including Favorite Movie, Favorite Drama Movie, Favorite Movie Actress (Kristen Stewart) and Favorite On-Screen Team (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner).

Other big winners include Eminem with four awards, Rihanna with three awards, and Katy Perry with two awards.
