Media fail: So much for mainstream entertainment journalism
Sometimes the stage is set up for a fail, but everyone plays along as if it were a good idea. That's what seemed to be happening with Sandra Bullock in the lead up to the Oscars. Everyone was talking about how in love she and bad boy biker hubby Jesse James were. Meanwhile Jesse was carrying on a torrid 11 month affair with a tattooed neo nazi porn actress named Michelle Bombshell McGee. While pro journalist types chattered on and on about dresses, hair, and even relationships; they missed the big scoop.Who knew, besides guilty parties and guilty bystanders?
For instance Bullock was interviewed by Barbara Walters, who likes to consider herself a tough minded reporter despite her 20 years of putting out puff pieces. This is the part where Sandra assures Babs that Jesse isn't out in bars. As it turns out she wasn't as aware of her husband's whereabouts and activities as she seemed. Sandra also tells Babs that Jesse protects her. Knowing what we know now it seems more like Jesse merely shielded her from the truth.

"Where will we be ten years from now?" She should've been more concerned with where she'd be in a couple of weeks. C'est la vie, or as John Lennon would say "Life is what happens while you busy making other plans".

Barbara Walters may be a television institution but she isn't the only television institution who missed the big scoop. Sandra was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey shortly after winning the Oscar. Though Oprah is pretty savvy about human nature she also seemed oblivious to the big story lurking beneath the surface of Sandra's Oscar win. Let's take a peep at hat interview.
Are you crying or did cold sweat get in your eye?
Oprah not so much missed the big story as walked backwards into it with "teary eyed Jesse" references. The water works probably weren't tears but profuse sweating from knowing what a time bomb he was sitting on. Either that or he deserves an Oscar too! I suppose that knowing what we know now Sandra might've been better off running around with boys in cars before she was 18. A few tattoos might have helped too. That seems to be the kind that Jesse likes!
Who wants to be America's Next Top Sweetheart?
The only positives in this whole sorry scenario are that people will learn that for the real dirt they've got to by pass the mainstream media for less reliable sources, like internet blogs; and now the door is open for Evangeline Lilly to be the new Sandra Bullock. I can't imagine this happening to Lilly with the way she treats her men.
I just hope that this betrayal and public humiliation doesn't drive Sandra over the edge and into joining up with the Hollywood Illuminati! Because who knows where that could lead. Just as long as Sandy doesn't tramp it up to keep her man.
