The 55-year-old actor had his booking photo and thumb prints taken last night after pleading no contest to simple battery last week, TMZ reports. Mel was charged for misdemeanor battery against his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, and was sentenced to 16 hours of community service and a year of counseling. | Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million Toward Tsunami Relief Posted: 17 Mar 2011 10:50 AM PDT  Sandra Bullock looks upbeat as she heads out to run errands on Wednesday (March 16) in New York City. The 46-year-old actress has donated $1 million to the Red Cross to support tsunami relief efforts in Japan! “The American Red Cross is extremely grateful for this generous support from Sandra Bullock and her family,” the organization said in a statement. “This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan.” Sandra also donated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders to benefit Haitian relief efforts after the 2010 earthquake.
