A View From Space - full broadcast

Prince William is the antichrist!

If you're a regular Wondertrash reader then you know about Gary Bell & the View From Space. In his last broadcast Gary raised some interesting questions like "is Prince William the antichrist?" Well some one has to be (it's a dirty job to be sure), but I always thought that i was more likely to be Prince Harry. Based on Bell's assertion that the nest King of England will be the last - leading up to the great tribulation, then it only makes sense that it would be Harry.

Bell claims William based on his middle name being Arthur - once and future King, & Bell believes that William will be crowned King Arthur, and be heralded as a reincarnation of England's pagan Prince.

The Willful King - "hateful to almost all his people and odious to God."

There's another interesting historical connection. William has the same name as King William "Rufus". William Rufus was one of England's famous 'sacrificial' kings. Folklorist will be familiar with the idea that in ancietn times kings held a sacred office rather than merely political. This was emphasized in the Holy Blood Holy Grail books. The king was a kind of sacred being who was a manifestation of the fertility of the land (Wicker Man with Edward Woodward). So their office was ritual as much as political.

an armourer came in and presented to [William] six arrows. The King immediately took them with great satisfaction, praising the work, and unconscious of what was to happen, kept four of them himself and held out the other two to Walter Tyrrel ... saying "It is only right that the sharpest be given to the man who knows how to shoot the deadliest shots".

As part of their responsibilities from time to time they were ritually killed - to restore the fertility of the land, to remove a blight or curse, etc. IN the case of William Rufus, he died a mysterious death in New Forrest. Rufus was out hunting when something strange occurred. An arrow aimed at a stag grazed the animal, passing on through and hitting the King in the chest. Rufus fell forward and drove the missile through his lung. He died so quickly that he had no time event o confess his sins. William was immediately abandoned by the hunting party, who ran back to their fiefdoms. There was now no law, since there was no king, so it was every man for himself. William Rufus couldn't even get a royal procession back to court but had to be dragged back in a cart through every small village on the way. Spectators had a chance top stop and gawk at the dead king as he was lead back for his funeral.

An account by William of Malmsbury is as follows:

The day before the king died he dreamed that he was let blood by a surgeon, and that the stream, reaching to heaven, clouded the light and intercepted the day ... he suddenly awoke, commanded a light to be brought, and forbade his attendants to leave him ... After dinner he went into the forest, attended by few persons... [Walter Tirel] alone had remained with him, while the others, employed in the chase, were dispersed as chance directed. The sun was now declining, when the king, drawing his bow and letting fly an arrow, slightly wounded a stag which passed before him; and, keenly gazing, followed it, still running, a long time with his eyes, holding up his hand to keep off the power of the sun's rays. At this instant Walter [attempted] to transfix another stag... [but] unknowingly, and without power to prevent it, O gracious God! pierced [the king's] breast with a fatal arrow.

On receiving the wound the king uttered not a word; but breaking off the shaft of the weapon where it projected from his body, and then falling upon the wound, he accelerated his death. Walter immediately ran up, but as he found him senseless and speechless he leaped swiftly upon his horse, and escaped by spurring him to his utmost speed. Indeed there was none to pursue him, some conniving at his flight, others pitying him, and all intent on other matters. Some began to fortify their dwellings, others to plunder, and the rest to look out for a new king.

A few countrymen conveyed the body, placed on a cart, to the cathedral at Winchester, the blood dripping from it all the way. Here it was committed to the ground within the tower, attended by many of the nobility... Next year the tower fell ... [William Rufus] died in [1100] ... aged above forty years ... He was a man much to be pitied by the clergy, for throwing away the soul they laboured to save; to be beloved by stipendiary soldiers for the multitude of his gifts; but not to be lamented by the people, because he suffered their substance to be plundered.

"In our deep vaulted cell, the charm we'll prepare - too dreadful a practice for this open air"

William was obviously a royal sacrifice, of the kind Robert Graves writes about in his The White Goddess. The current William shares his name. Not only that but his late mother Princess Diana was represent symbolically as a slain dear in the Queen movie starring Helen Mirren. Occult conspiracist have long beleived that Diana herself was a blood sacrifice, since she not only shared her name with a pagan goddess, but the place of her death in France was once the sote of human sacrifice rituals dedicated to the goddess Diana. The plot thickens, Diana's car hit the 13th support beam in the tunnel. 13 has a lunar association since there are 13 months in the lunar year. Plus the year is divided into 4 season of 13 weeks. Tunnels and caves have long been associated with human sacrifice in ancient British druidic rituals.

As for Dame Mirren, she's got a long association with British witchcraft. She played Morgaine - the witch queen - in John Boorman's Excaliber! Morgan was the sister of none other than King Arthur - whom Will's is supposed to be a reincarnation of (Not that Will is the same person, but he will become a vehicle for the same spirit that possessed the original sorcerer king Arthur, once some space can be made available. Put bluntly a spirit can inhabit as body as a vehicle once the soul of the body has been either removed or suppressed. That's where the head wound/assignation, followed by miraculous recovery comes in. The mortal wound weakens or cuts the soul's connection to it's body, then the possessing spirit can come in and take over - like the 'walk ins' you've probably heard something about). Mirren then went on to play Queen Liz, who is the current William's grandmother.
