| Salma Hayek: New Telenovela Coming to ABC! Posted: 03 Nov 2010 10:20 AM PDT  Salma Hayek is bringing the telenovela back to ABC! The 44-year-old actress and her producing partner, Jose Tamez, are planning to develop a US version of the Argentinian telenovela Los Roldan at ABC. According to Variety, Los Roldan “follows a working-class man who saves the life of a woman. She then hires him to run her company — much to the chagrin of her family.” Salma will be working with Ugly Betty writer Veronica Becker and Sarah Kucserka, who will write and produce the project. |

(He passed away over the weekend from a heart attack at the age of 47.) “There are people who make films for glory and recognition, and there are people who make films,” the 28-year-old actress told JustJared.com via a statement. “George Hickenlooper was a lover of film. He understood that the medium needn’t be manipulative, but appreciated, through his own experience, that it could be life altering, in the most beautiful way.” Sienna continued, “He was generous of spirit. He asked for nothing, and as a result, received all. I have never felt more loved or appreciated as an actor, and as a result, have never been more honest in a film. The 34-year-old Aussie actor carried a large laptop bag for the scene, which took place at Manhattan’s Rockefeller Center subway stop. Man on a Ledge, due out in 2012, is about an ex-cop turned con man who threatens to jump off the roof of a Manhattan hotel. While the police try to talk him down, they miss out on a huge diamond heist taking place nearby.

Posted: 02 Nov 2010 10:20 PM PDT  Tom Hardy has been offered the role of Henry Sturges in the highly-anticipated flick Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, according to Bloody Disgusting. The pic is the fictionalized story of Abraham Lincoln, whose mother dies due a debt owed by his father to a vampire, which causes him to take action to eliminate all the vampires. The film is based on the book by Seth Grahame-Smith, which is written from the documents “given” to the author by the vampire Henry Sturges, which would be Tom’s role in the movie. While Tom was close to signing on to the flick Snow White and the Huntsman, it has been reported that Johnny Depp will end up taking the role. |
