On Saturday, February 6, the DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl returns home to South Beach, the site of the inaugural Beach Bowl. Now in its fourth year, the Beach Bowl brings together gridiron greats and a who’s who of the entertainment world in a no-holds-barred flag football game.
Hosting this year’s Beach Bowl is Dan Patrick. Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning will coach the White Team, going head-to-head with Blue Team coach Mark Sanchez. Former Pro Bowlers Warren Moon and Troy Aikman will captain their respective teams at quarterback. Other former NFLers playing in the game will include Eddie George, Merril Hoge, and Daryl Johnston.
Rounding out the teams will be TV and films stars including Taylor Lautner, Kevin Dillon, Chace Crawford, Marisa Miller, Brian McKnight, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Jessica Szohr, all looking to prove they are just as much competitors as celebrities. And keep checking back to see what other celebrities will be taking to the sand.
Immediately after the game and trophy presentation, stay tuned as the crowd fills the beach for The Post-Game Concert featuring All-American Rejects, presented by Palladia, the High-Definition Music Channel from MTV.
It’s an afternoon full of sun, sand, songs and super action from the best of the football and entertainment world. So make sure you see it all LIVE on Saturday, February 6, on The 101 Network.

Chace Crawford Interview — JustJared.com Sundance Exclusive
Chace Crawford attends the premiere of his new movie, Twelve, at the Eccles Theatre during the 2010 Sundance Film Festival on Friday night (January 29) in Park City, Utah. Here’s what the 24-year-old Gossip Girl actor shared with JustJared.com on the red carpet:
JJ: How has Sundance been for you?
CC: It’s been good! I wish I could stay the whole week. Park City’s phenomenal. I snowboard, ski and snowmobile, so it’d be nice to stay out here. But I gotta get back [to Gossip Girl]!
JJ: Can you share one funny behind-the-scenes story from shooting Twelve?
CC: [SPOILER ALERT]
Well, I get shot by 50 Cent by the end of the movie, and I was kind of excited about it. I was thrilled that it was just happening – I’m coordinating with the stunt guys to make sure everything’s going well, I guess I was a little enthusiastic about it and 50 turned to this girl who was there and goes, “Sh–, Chace never done been shot before, has he?” [laughs] I cracked up for days!”
JJ: What’s your favorite prop from the set?
CC: The wardrobe girl picked up the shell – the cap that 50 Cent shot me with – just for fun, so I saved that! It’s in my bedroom somewhere. That was the only thing I kept. And I kept the boots.
——————-
Good news for Chace! The film division of book publisher Hannover House purchased Twelve for $2 million, which means the movie should be distributed nationwide soon!
