Sorry! Avril Lavigne apologized for her diva behavior after cursing at the family-friendly Tampa Bay Rays game on Saturday.Whoops, her bad. Punk princess Avril Lavigne faced the music Saturday following her expletive-ladden rant at a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game, apologizing for her unacceptable behavior after she finally cooled off.
The singer, 26, had let loose a few choice F-bombs after experiencing technical difficulties while performing on the field, and she grew even more frustrated when the crowd began to boo her.
"[Sound system problems] f**king happen on a baseball field," she yelled into the mic at the family-friendly stadium.
Later on in the night, however, the "Complicated" singer snagged the mic once more - this time to apologize.
"We just had so much fun tonight and we want to take the tirade out and say thank you to the Tampa Bay Rays!" she said. "I'm truly sorry if anyone was offended by my language."
The Rays were quick to distance themselves from Lavigne's angry rant the following day.
"The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night's show," the team said in a statement Sunday.
